We've been receiving packages and business catalogs shipped to our home address under a company name we've never heard of. After doing some research, we found that someone actually registered an LLC with the Kentucky Secretary of State using our home address as the official business address — without our knowledge or permission. The LLC was filed and organized on the same day in December 2025. It's listed as active and in good standing. The registered manager is someone we don't know at all. We've already contacted one of the shipping vendors and got removed from their system. But we're not sure what to do about the actual LLC registration. Questions: * Who do we report this to? * Can we get our address removed from the state registration? * Is this a common scam? Edit: we have reported them to dept of state and any mail is returned.
