Scam Prevention Guide - $1000.0 Lost

A reddit report about a impersonation scam that cost someone $1000.0. Learn how to avoid falling victim.

Back in early January I fell victim to a puppy scam and lost $1000 Bank gave me $480 of provisional credit but assured me that it would be mine once case closed because i had all the evidence plus police report. I put this all behind me, I lost money but I got some back and moved on with my life Except today I got a letter in the mail saying I owe back the $480 because the merchant proved “services were delivered.” They were not. I feel like I’m being scammed by my own bank now and not sure of next steps.
