Scam Prevention Guide

A reddit report about a impersonation scam that cost someone Amount not specified. Learn how to avoid falling victim.

I was called & chatted two times since meeting in person. He’s an older gentleman , and what I’ve put together he is homeless or close too. He gives me lots of life advice (many things I already know or believe for myself) asks me questions and doesn’t pry if I refuse. Mainly he speaks of wanting to ā€œmentor meā€ Now today during our phone call he asked me to INITIATE a phone call with him Thursday morning. So in two days; He also said he wants my help with 3 projects (he specified )that could ā€œmake us millionsā€ and that he would split the profit 50/50 with me… I responded saying money doesn’t interest me; and I’m only ā€œin the gameā€ for human connection ; i told him straight up I’m not interested in his projects as much as I’d like to help where I can. And told him I’d call him Thursday morning but for now must say goodby. at first I didn’t think anything of it but after a bit I’m wondering.
